Introduction:Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB), a small-sized private bank with more than 65% of branches located in Tamil Nadu, India, was incorporated on November 3, 1926, by seven people in Karur under the leadership of V.S.N. Ramalinga Chettiar. The bank offered an array of banking and financial solutions including treasury, wholesale banking, and retail banking. It registered a growth of 33.02% in financial year 2009. Business grew from Rs. 94,770 million in FY08 to Rs.126,070 million in financial year FY09.
